FOX/FS1 College football coverage

Just based on the looks of it, list of FS1 games seem better than last year.
Lead by Oklahoma vs Texas in the Red River Shootout! A game for years and years has been on ABC. The opening weekend is pretty solid for FS1 with Kansas State at Stanford, Missouri at WVU and BYU vs Arizona.

ESPN and ESPN2 down 1.5 million subscribers, FS1 down 957,000 subscribers, NBCSN down 304,000 subscribers, FS2 up 736,000 subscribers. Cable cutting is here to stay and will be very interesting to see how far these numbers continue to plummet.

The old WWL is down to 2006 levels of subscribers with that 87-88 million mark. As Fenway noted looks as though subscriber base is declining cable-wide. Will make for some scrambling by the cable folk, their content providers, and for the buying public this year. Will give the online streamer community an opportunity to make a dent in the market.

2.1 million viewers for USA vs Ecuador, not bad considering it was on during the NBA finals. I'm guessing USA vs. Argentina/Venezuela will destroy that on Tuesday.

Whoever was on the control panel for the US v Ecuador match needs to raise his game. They missed way too much action by showing slow motion replays and player reactions. You heard the live crowd in the background cheering the live action, and the TV was still on the replay.

FS1 had nothing to do with the feed; it was the world feed that they were just broadcasting.
