Now Shtolzberg is officially in the portal

From Goodman:
Creighton point guard Ryan Nembhard intends to transfer, source told @stadium.

Nembhard averaged 12.1 points and 4.8 assists this past season.

FYI: His older brother, Andrew, was recruited to Gonzaga by current Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd.

There had been some rumors. Strange deal. He could be a starting PG for a preseason Top 10 team at CU and get 30-35 mins per game.

Unregulated free agency. Tampering is completely legal - no liability in doing it at this point if you have rich kooks who will overpay. At least in the NBA, you could have draft picks taken from you.

Like Butler (Lukosious), I'm sure there were vultures circling all Big East programs in the last few weeks. "College" basketball is over.

Yea, the transfer portal sucks. But until the NCAA puts on its big boy pants and decides to run this sport like the business it is, things won't change.

Couldn’t agree more…..my interest has been waning over the years due to realignment, NIL, transfer portal, etc. I used to love following players both at SJU and other schools as they moved through their careers. Now it’s just a free-for-all……so sad….

If money is the reason, I understand why the kid wants to get it while he can. But it's an awful path that the sport is heading down.

Arizona tried to grab Kaluma last season and this year went after Nembhard. Unfortunately they offered more money and Creighton couldnt match (Creighton has pretty good NIL btw). Sad thing is he's gonna be competing with 5 star PG Boswell for time but I guess money talks. Sad state of affairs but new reality unfortunately

Wouldn’t shock me if Arizona was talking with Art again.

But Nembhard can't even have an NIL deal. He's Canadian and international players can't have NILs....is Arizona pulling off something shady??
