Then watch another interview, this time of human-Sominex Jim Mora. Go have another cup of coffee and pet your dog.

Then imagine hitching your athletic wagon to the caravan being navigated by these two clowns.

Then imagine midtown-Manhattan (the real one in NY), Madison Square Garden, and playing in NBA arenas and some of the greatest cities in North America.

Then imagine your football team sucking elephant nuts in 84-3 losses 2,000 miles away in Waco. Have dinner at the Waco Whataburger.

Travel to Chestnut Hill and investigate the state of BC Eagles' athletics over the past 15 years. From Boston, drive west on i-90 to Syracuse and ask about their football team over the past 10 years.

Open up the New London Day sportspage and read that Donovan Clingan is tranferring to play for Pitino along with other former 5-star UConn commits.

*Then* make a decision on whether to leave the Big East for the Big-12 Truckstop league.

   Billyjack, this is why you’re my favorite poster…..I especially love the “watch them transfer to play for Pitino part!”….…I hope UConn leaves soon rather than have this drag on….we were fine before they came back and we’ll be fine when they’re gone…..I just think it’s a stupid move…..

Getting tired of the UConn nonsense, their AD and football coach have been openly pushing for a Power football invite for nearly a year now. Even after winning the national championship (with help from the Big East for battle testing them and upping their recruiting) and during ongoing TV negotiations we still hear this. It's pathetic, if a conference takes them it won't be due to their begging on social media. It simply comes down to money, and IMO they'll only be taken by a weakened and desperate ACC (if the ACC even goes that direction... could just go all in on football). The ACC at that point wouldn't have UNC, UVA, or the biggest football brands so it'd be basically an AAC+ or old Big East with everyone desperate to leave. Big 12 I think is bluffing, they've been tied to virtually everyone (even St. John's based on past rumors). They're likely trying to get a school like Arizona to leave the Pac 12.

A few months ago I would've been more upset to see UConn leave, but now I wouldn't mind since St. John's could fill that void under Pitino. Never would've happened under Anderson, but we could take their place as a NE powerhouse if they want to play schools primarily in middle America (Big 12).

I think most of us are sick of the UConn to another conference bull. Just go-your football program sucks. Give the Big east the 30 mil or whatever it is and go. You can't fill that crappy stadium you have.

McMurphy: Big 12 interest in UConn has been blown out of proportion.

Would rather see the headline "UConn interest in Big 12 blown out of proportion", but seeing a lack of mutual attraction between the two parties is at least good for the Big East.

UConn's president said the following in February:

Should UConn have a goal to join a Power Five conference?

“If they invite us,” Maric said. “Absolutely.”

No doubt they'll be out in a second if invited. Also almost a guarantee that whatever conference accepts them won't be any better than AAC+, and those schools will all prioritize football in hopes of getting into the Power 2.

Well, as it turns out, that’s exactly what Brett McMurphy is saying.

Not really into the realignment scoops, but a lot of chatter this morning about UConn leaving the Big East.

Feels like a mistake, imo.

Truly Donovan is someone who has been one of the most dialed in guy on the transfer portal this season.....not sure about this tweet but he's more reliable than most......if true, good riddance and you can just Venmo our $30 million......

He tweeted that Trey Alexander was staying in the draft yesterday, but maybe he's right on this one.

He 100% has sources related to St. John's. Was easily the fastest and most accurate of anyone for the Johnnies transfer portal. Every time he posted St. John's got a commitment later that day.

You're right though that he's sometimes off. Good riddance if true, Big East will still be great without them.

He's been pretty spot on with the VCU coaching change too, and our transfer portal additions. He's really plugged in, whoever he is.
