Tell me preseason expectations are baked in without telling me...

Xavier - high preseason expectations (pre injuries), low season results
Seton Hall - low preseason expectations, high season results

...
yet, Xavier is still ahead of Seton Hall on Torvik's TeamSheet rankings.

Also, FAU only gets in because of last year's run.

There are so many teams with bad resumes but good metrics that will get bids. Total BS.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

If we only get 3 teams in, we only deserved 3 teams in. Everyone had exactly same information available, there's no unknown bias or cheating going on (perhaps exception of Temple). Smarter schedule can easily net 1-2 extra teams in the tournament.

Just a couple of examples...

Seton Hall playing a neutral game against USC in San Diego. Yeah it was an MTE but looking back it's not a situation you want to be in.

Villanova playing @ Penn. Again, it's stupid AF. P6 teams don't donate road games that easy for a good reason.

It's just 2 games but replace those 2 games with blowout wins against random buy game opponents, and things look a lot different for not only SH and Nova, but rest of the BE teams as well.s

Are we doing everything we can? We're not, so it's very easy for me to concede that we don't deserve more than 3 bids.
