I get Pitino is pissed off. But if the rest of the Big East is playing in the NIT, he may as well join it. I think the kids deserve to play more games

Ok Butler made some dumb plays down the stretch and we're 0-3... Way to show the NCAA's they made the wrong decision.

As much as we'd like to see NIT success, the results of this tournament are not indicative of any NCAA tournament worthiness.

Good take. Between teams turning down bids, players choosing to sit out, no chance at a meaningful trophy, etc. You have to assume that the players aren't exactly fully invested. That said, I doubt Virginia would have taken a game in the NIT either.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Ya, I put as much stock in NIT results as preseason secret scrimmages.

Right, the NIT results mean nothing.

With PC, Carter didn't play. We had 7 guys available. Crowd was relaxed and chill. Results meant nothing.

Couple of rules experiments were tested-- wider lane, and different series on TV timeouts.
