Nov 27/28 schedule out.
FS1 gets Texas Tech/Texas on Thanksgiving
Iowa St/West Virginia @ Noon(opposite Ohio St/Michigan on ABC)
Kansas St/Kansas @ 4pm(opposite Alabama/Auburn on CBS)

ESPN gets
TCU/Baylor 730 Day after Thanksgiving
Oklahoma/Oklahoma St TBA time (most likely 8pm Saturday on ABC)

so of the big 6 games- FS1 got none. Big Fox got 2. ABC has 2. ESPN got 1. 1 left between ABC and ESPN.

It's got to kill Fox folks that they got none of the games on FS1. Especially considering of the 45 conference games, there were 6 good ones.

Do you beat off to the idea of ESPN putting Fox Sports out of business? Serious question, because you seem to get a hard on posting things that work in ESPNs favor.

Redman I'm realistic. If FS1 was such a good option, why was like this upcoming weekend it already put out that neither of the top 2 games would be on FS1? They said ABC, Fox, ESPN, or ESPN2. No mention of FS1 at all. That's very telling.

The schedule for FS1 has got to improve for FS1 to become a viable option. The schedule this year for FS1 has absolutely sucked(while the one for Big Fox has gotten much better). It's like the Big 12 and Pac 12 have flexed their muscles and made it a lot harder for FS1 to get better games.

I don't follow college football at all, so I am a bit confused as to why it is a bad thing that FS1 has a Texas and WVU game to air. If I recall, those schools have decent fan bases.

Is this one of those stever exaggerations where he claims meryll streep wasn't nominated for an academy award so the station airing the awards is going to go bankrupt?

Well since Fox is paying half of their contract you should ask the Fox lawyers and those in charge of programing. Is it possible that THIS year ESPN gets those games and next year Fox gets them as part of their original agreement? Also when that deal was signed FS1 didn't exist so maybe they can't air games there because it's not in their contract? But yeah it must be because Big XII said "No way, FS1 sucks it's ESPN or nuthin' bro!"

FS1 aired better Big 12 games the last 2 years. This year the schedule hasn't been anywhere near as good for FS1. So no it's not that they can't air games there. And yes, the Big 12 could easily have told Fox, it's Big Fox or nothing. The thing is ESPN and ABC are viewed by folks as being close to the same. Big Fox and FS1- just aren't. It was very predictable that 0/6 of these top games would get on FS1.

I agree that the college football games on FS1 this year have not been as good as previous years, YET, college football ratings on FS1 are up this year!

FOX might have Notre Dame @ Stanford. The games on FS1, you can't look opposite anything, because it's a no win plot.

FOX gets first pick in 2016.
Q. Draft process for selection rights?
A. ABC/ESPN and FOX have established a process and order for selecting games. ABC/ESPN maintains some top priority selections through the 2015 season. However, the two partners established a draft whereby they determined which weekends they select first, second and/or third. Starting in 2016, ABC/ESPN and FOX will have alternating picks with FOX selecting first in even years and ABC/ESPN picking first in odd years.

Please, learn in how the contract works, than making wild guesses about what the Big 12 has said or not said.

That was of a few weeks ago. with the poor remaining schedule, it's not a lock at all.
remaining schedule-
Iowa St/Kansas St
Arizona/Arizona St
Texas Tech/Texas(opposite Favre getting his number retired by Packers)
Western Kentucky/Marshall
Oregon St/Oregon
Iowa St/West Virginia
Kansas St/Kansas
Arizona St/Cal
West Virginia/Kansas St

Also- FS1 doesn't have any openings on 11/28 for Notre Dame/Stanford or USC/UCLA. It's either Big Fox or ESPN/ABC...

It seems like Big Fox is getting better and better matchups- while FS1 is getting weaker matchups. It's very possible that FS1 has a decrease for the entire season.

No, they can't just dictate to Fox where their games will be aired. They signed the contracts and cashed the checks, they can't tell Fox they wont allow them to air their games. Since you said they had those games the last 2 years then it's perfectly reasonable to assume that ESPN is just getting them this year as their part of the contract.

Just because Fox gets 1st choice doesn't mean they can automatically put the games on FS1. Why wasn't Oklahoma St/TCU a few weeks ago on FS1? Why isn't Baylor/Oklahoma St this week on FS1?
