The NL has pretty close to the perfect set up for great ratings- if the Mets win. Would have markets 1,2,3,7. If FS1/Fox can't deliver with that collection of teams, when could they ever deliver the ratings?

And yes, the AL will have Boston, so that will be better than last year. But still could have Toronto.

You know what I meant, MLB ratings have been declining in general over the past couple decades. Obviously they fluctuate some year to year depending on the teams and number of games- they don't decline every single year. The trend is there, though.

Got it though, the pressure is on big time. FS1 may never get another contract again if ratings aren't a massive success.

It's funny, I've watched undisputed for a while- and caught what was on ESPN with first take in a clip yesterday. I really think Undisputed is so much better. Bayless/Sharpe to me are light years better than Smith/Kellerman....

ratings on Mondays interesting.....
yesterday-
FT got 342. U got 114.
but here's the kicker. last year- same day- FT got 663k.. So Undisputed is really doing something to the ratings.....

for the 4 Monday's-
FT 338
U 104.75

but average FT last year was 553.25. It's down almost 40% from last year.

Don't know were you get that MLB national ratings are not in a decline. FOX was down and ESPN was the worst in 10 years. That being said FS1 will deliver with NL line up of teams.

Maybe regular season down, but postseason- last year Turner had record highs for them in the playoffs.

Like I said on the other board- I really think a big mistake having the UFC on Saturday. Like it or not, it is a big negative for some folks. They see UFC and they'll switch the channel immediately.

I really think for FS1 to grow- the best thing that could happen would be for it to lose the UFC.

Hard to say on the UFC. It's something that gets the network some good ratings. I never watch UFC, but I would hate to see it go. I would like to know what is FOX goal with FS2. UFC programming on FS2 would be a nice match.

I not worried what a big negative means to some folks. Too some folks I hear, basketball is a big negative.

Undisputed did over 100k on Friday and backed it up on Monday. Same with the Herd.

I'm disappointed that FOX has stopped running promos for Speak for Yourself at 5pm et. Needs some NFL promo help, like Undisputed has gotten. You could run one add in one, with Undisputed, Herd, Speak for Yourself.

undisputed got 112 k yesterday- which is huge for a Tuesday... last 3 Tuesday's(ignoring the 1st Tuesday which is series debut)- the show got 82,75, and 72k.

Would say maybe a bad break in the MLB playoffs. SF beats the Mets so lose out on the NY market. Also- the Giants pitching staff maybe the only team in MLB that can match with the Cubs in pitching.

I think the Herd uptick in ratings is just as big of a story as Undisputed is. Just last week it was up from 58 to 84 k viewers. HUGE jump.

but as I've said before- the big problem now is Fox Sports Live...

2015- Sep 21-27 averaged 143k viewers, 74k in the 18-49 demo.
2016- Sep 19-25 averaged 70k viewers, 34k in the 18-49 demo

It's pretty crystal clear that FSL just isn't working...

1st day of LDS ratings pretty good...
Cubs/Giants- got 5.7 million viewers
Nats/Dodgers- got 2.2 million viewers
so 3.95 million average with the 2

last year
Mets/Dodgers- got 4.7 million viewers
Cubs/Cards- got 5.4 million viewers
so 5.05 million average with the 2

Nats/Dodgers a bit unlucky as it was same time as Red Sox game. But the Cubs/Giants really good.

FS1 with an interesting break as Nats/Dodgers game got rained out. Makeup today at 1pm- opposite of course NFL.
